Biosciences Research Reviews uses a double-blind peer review process.
Under the double-blind review system, the identities of the authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the peer-review process, where technically and procedurally possible.
Submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editorial team for scope, basic quality, originality, completeness, and compliance with the journal's submission requirements. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements may then be sent to qualified independent reviewers for detailed assessment.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on criteria including:
Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer and editorial comments. The final editorial decision is made by the editor or an authorized member of the editorial team based on the overall assessment of the manuscript.
Peer review does not guarantee acceptance, and the payment of any publication charge does not influence the editorial or peer-review decision.
Authors are expected to comply with recognized standards of research and publication ethics.
Submitted manuscripts must be original and must not be under consideration for publication by another journal. All sources, ideas, data, figures, tables, and other materials derived from previously published work must be appropriately cited and acknowledged.
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, professional, or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the work or its interpretation.
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, preparation, analysis, interpretation, or development of the manuscript. All listed authors should have approved the submitted version and agreed to its submission.
For research involving human participants, animals, or other activities requiring ethical oversight, authors must provide appropriate information regarding ethical approval or institutional authorization where applicable.
Authors must not engage in plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate manipulation of data or images, or other forms of academic or publication misconduct.
